I believe all students can learn.

For the last 20 years, my passion has been working with students of all abilities to help them reach their full learning potential.

All students have strengths, and these strengths can be harnessed to support and develop areas of weakness.

Whether I’ve been employed in health or education roles, I’ve used my speech pathology skills and my additional training in teaching and special education to understand and implement best practice intervention to optimise learning outcomes for all my students.

People often ask why I keep up to date with current research and why I’m always searching for new methods or apps or programs that deliver. The answer is simple. The road I walk with my students and their parents is one I walk with my own family. My two beautiful children have been diagnosed with learning challenges of their own, so I’m always on the lookout for ways to help them succeed in learning, at school and in everyday life. My journey as a parent has further refined my ability to navigate the path through diagnosis, therapy, NDIS and school.

I’m especially passionate about translating research into best practice and  the innovative use of technology to support communication and learning. Assistive Technology is an area where I see great potential for harnessing the best for every child, especially those who are growing and learning in a digital world.

As a teacher and a clinician, I use best-practice research and data-driven instructional methods to find creative, individualised solutions for my students, regardless of their ability or diagnosed disability.
